2024 Yale Biomedical Engineering Conference

The purpose of YBC is to bring together BME students and faculty from across the Northeast to learn and share about the latest advancements in the field, present research, spark new ideas for projects, and forge long-lasting relationships.

Date: November 2 - 3, 2024

WHO?

YBC is open to all Yale BME students, faculty, and staff as well as other college students and professors in the Northeast region interested in BME studies or careers.

WHY?

No centralized BME event focused on undergraduates exists at Yale. Undergraduates have some research / professional experience, but graduate-level conferences are not as accessible. BME undergraduates are seeking internships, opportunities to present research, and relationships with other BME students and faculty across the Northeast.

WHAT?

Our conference programming will include four major components:

  1. Research Symposium: Undergrads will have the opportunity to present research posters and gain feedback from experienced faculty

  2. Student Panels: Invited speakers from medical school, graduate school, law school, and various career types in industry and consulting will speak about their experiences and answer questions.

  3. Career Fair: 10+ biomedical companies, from startups to multinational corporations, will offer information about internship opportunities and full-time positions.

  4. Biotech VC + Startups: Speakers with biotech expertise will share advice on breaking into the field and what it takes to build a startup company.
